How much does a custom oil painting cost?
Custom oil paintings from your photo start from A$598.99 for a 40 × 50 cm portrait or place, and custom pet portraits start from A$599.99 for 30 × 40 cm. The price depends on the size and the number of people or pets. Ready-made hand-painted canvases start from around A$275. Free shipping Australia-wide is included, and Afterpay is available at checkout.
How long does a custom painting take?
Your painting is hand-painted within about 2 weeks. We then email you a photo to approve, make any changes you ask for, and ship it. Most orders are in your hands within 4 weeks of ordering. If you need it sooner for a gift, contact us before you order.
Is the painting really hand-painted?
Yes. Every EKM Art Studio piece is 100% hand-painted in oil on canvas by our own artists. Nothing is printed. Because it is painted by hand, you will see real brushwork and texture, and small natural variations are part of the character of the piece.
What sizes are available?
Custom paintings come in 40 × 50, 50 × 60, 60 × 90 and 70 × 90 cm, and custom pet portraits also come in 30 × 40 cm. Ready-made paintings come in sizes up to 100 × 150 cm. Each product page lists its exact sizes and prices.
What kind of photo do I need?
Choose a clear, well-lit photo where faces are in focus. Phone photos are fine. We can combine people or pets from different photos into one painting, and you can email extra photos to info@ekmart.com.au after you order.
Can I ask for changes before it ships?
Yes. When your painting is finished we email you a photo of it. Changes are free, and we only ship once you are happy with it.
Is the painting framed?
Paintings are sent unframed and rolled in a protective tube, which keeps them safe in transit and keeps shipping free. Any local framer can stretch or frame your canvas.
Do you ship internationally? How much is shipping?
Yes. Shipping with tracking is free Australia-wide and worldwide. Delivery usually takes 3–7 business days after dispatch, and you will receive a tracking email when your painting is on its way.
Do you have a showroom or physical store?
No. We are an online-only studio, so there is no physical store or showroom. Every product page shows the painting in real room settings, and we email you a photo of your finished painting to approve before it ships.
What if my painting arrives damaged?
If your artwork arrives damaged or with a defect, we will replace it at no extra cost. Please contact us within 10 days of receiving your order. For change-of-mind returns, please see our refund policy.
